Friends of the Organ Mountains – Desert Peaks presents the Living History Event:
Spirits of the Organ Mountains
Description: This Living History show offers a glimpse into the annual Ghostly Council meeting taking place in the Organ Mountains – Desert Peaks National Monument. Ghosts from around New Mexico including local historic figures who reside in the mountains are gathering at Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks National Monument to assemble as the Ghostly Council. The Ghostly Council will deliberate about the annual monument hauntings trying to strike a balance between good “scare coverage” and “over frightening” the visitors on the Monument. Local historic ghosts will decide who will get to haunt this Halloween. Which ghosts get to haunt the monument this year? Who will be left out? All ages are invited to eavesdrop on this gathering and, if you are fortunate and willing, interact with the historical ghosts during this rare historical event.
