Event Location: A.B. Cox Visitor Center upper gravel parking area, Dripping Springs Natural Area
Through this program, pet parents and the BLM collectively celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the proclamation of Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks as a National Monument. The BLM wildlife biologist and pet parents share their appreciation for the monument and other living things while leading the rest of the community in modeling an enjoyable, responsible, and sustainable way to explore our public lands. This event starts at 5pm at the A.B. Cox Visitor Center’s gravel parking area. Following a BARK Ranger oath and educational talk, the BARK Rangers and their pet parent embark on an optional walk on the Filmore Canyon Loop with BLM wildlife biologist Meredith Dalton. Participants can walk at their comfort levels, from just a few minutes to the complete 3-mile loop.
