DESCRIPTION:Join us for a guided hike to La Cueva to learn about the ethnobotany and history of the area.\nMORE INFO: \nInformational guided hike to visit La Cueva Archeological site from the first trailhead \nDiscover the resources used by and the history of Indigenous people\, Giovanni de Agostini\, and ranchers in the La Cueva area. \nabout 3 miles- Easy-Intermediate \nTrail contains some steep climbs \nLed by Tom Dormody \nNO DOGS ALLOWED ON THIS HIKE \nPARKING: \nHead to Dripping Springs Natural Area following University Ave/Dripping Springs Rd. (If you are at the Visitor Center at Dripping Springs\, you drove too far.) \nTake a left into the La Cueva area\, approximately 0.5 miles before reaching the Dripping Springs Visitors Center \nThe meeting spot will be at the second parking lot in the La Cueva Picnic Area (Keep driving past first parking lot) \nThis is a free event but there is a $5 parking fee \n  \nRECOMMENDED GEAR: \nPlenty of water \nGood hiking shoes \nSnacks \nSunscreen/Bug spray \n  \n
