DESCRIPTION:Join us to learn about the geology and mining history of Fillmore Canyon! \nDiscover the fascinating world of geology and delve into the rich mining history of Fillmore Canyon. Our knowledgeable docent\, Tom Dormody will guide us through the geological wonders of the area\, sharing captivating stories and insights along the way. Grab your friends and family\, and come join us for an unforgettable adventure! \nDUE TO THE TRAIL BEING IN A WILDERNESS AREA\, WE MUST LIMIT OUR CAPACITY  \nTheme: Geology and mining history of Fillmore Canyon \nHike is led by Tom Dormody \nGoing towards Dripping Springs turn left on at La Cueva. We will meet at the first parking lot at the La Cueva trailhead \nHike is free to join but attendees will be responsible for paying the $5 parking fee \nThis trail is an easy-moderate level. Expect many stops along the way! \nThis hike will take about 2 and a half hours so please plan accordingly. \nRECOMMENDED GEAR: \nPlenty of water \nProper clothing \nGood hiking shoes \nSnacks \nSunscreen \nHiking stick (recommended but not necessary)
