Rochelle Miller-Hernandez has had the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors across the U.S. and throughout the world. From a very young age, she was introduced to fishing and camping by her father and grandfather. Later, horseback riding, ocean swimming and snorkeling, and hiking became her favorite pastimes. Growing up on both the coasts, in the Midwest, and in Asia, she was able to learn about and enjoy a wide range of cultures and traditions due her family’s military background. Rochelle moved to Las Cruces over 20 years ago and has fallen in love with the city, the surrounding region and of course, the Organ Mountains. She received her Bachelor of Science in Social Psychology from Park University and her Master of Arts in Education from NMSU. Both fields of study have provided her with skills that assist in her success as a leader in the tourism industry. As the executive director of Visit Las Cruces, she has the privilege of promoting Las Cruces to outdoor enthusiasts as a destination of choice and understands the importance of the national monument and public lands to the local economic prosperity. By serving on the FOMDP Board, she hopes to assist in the preservation of this amazing asset and trea
