Kayla Blundell

Artist and Photographer

“I am truly grateful to be selected as the Artist-In-Residence for the Organ Mountains Desert Peaks National Monument for September 2016. It’s my goal to promote the natural beauty of the Organs and to share awareness to preserve its historical value, so that generations from now the Organs will still be as beautiful as today because of the part we can play in helping to preserving it.”

Kayla Blundell was born in West Texas. She moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico, in 2011. She is an artist and photographer. She was first inspired by the works of Salvador Dali and Pablo Picasso. From their inspiration, her passion for art has grown, and she is motivated for others to see her work through her eyes. Her artwork ranges from representational landscapes to abstracts in which many of her artworks include elements of surrealism.
