Where: Chivatos Canyon in the Uvas Wilderness.
Space is limited due to wilderness area and priority will be given to LCPS employees and family.
The drive time is over an hour one way. The last 2 miles on a rough road. High clearance vehicle recommended, but we will carpool. The hike is 6.5 miles round trip with about 800-900 feet of elevation gain. Hike is entirely on an old road. Rated moderate to strenuous. Deep remote canyon. Great views from a high plateau.
